Akpabio says Budget increase to take care of Human Capital Development and needs of Nigerians Senate President Godswill Akpabio has said that there are “verifiable justifications” by the national assembly for increasing the 2024 budget by over N1 trillion. On Saturday, the national assembly passed the budget after increasing its size from N27.5 trillion proposed by President Bola Tinubu to N28.7 trillion. The budget size was increased by N1.2 trillion. Passport Automation application will commence January 8 -Tunji-Ojo The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Monday, confirmed that the passport application automation process will begin operation on January 8, 2024. The minister had announced in December that the Federal Government was working to ensure a full automation system of passport application in the country.
