The United States Department of State is planning a major overhaul of its visa processing operations in Africa, reducing the number of embassies and consulates handling visa applications from nearly 50 to 20 in the coming weeks. The Stanbic IBTC Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), has shown that rising prices of petroleum products pushed up purchasing prices in the country. In its latest report, the bank noted that increasing fuel costs following the outbreak of war in the Middle East continued to drive up purchase prices in May.
