Maserati has opened 2026 with a major showcase at the Brussels Motor Show, marking a century of its involvement in motorsport and 100 years of its Trident emblem. The Italian luxury carmaker presented a wide range of vehicles spanning supercars, electric models and bespoke Fuoriserie creations, underscoring both its heritage and current design and engineering direction.
Among the highlights was the debut appearance of the MCPURA Cielo, the open-top successor to the MC20 Cielo, alongside the all-electric GranCabrio Folgore and Grecale Folgore. Maserati also displayed the special-edition Grecale Lumina Blu, reinforcing its expanding portfolio of battery-electric and performance-focused vehicles at the show.
A separate VIP-exclusive event featured the GranTurismo and GranCabrio “Meccanica Lirica” one-off models, as well as the GT2 Stradale supercar. The bespoke GranTurismo and GranCabrio creations were produced to mark the return of their manufacturing to Maserati’s historic Modena plant, paying tribute to the city’s long association with the automotive industry and its theatrical and musical traditions.
The GT2 Stradale, positioned as a road-going counterpart to the racing-derived Maserati GT2, was presented as a model designed to bridge the gap between the MC20 supercar and Maserati’s motorsport programme, further highlighting the brand’s performance credentials.
By bringing a broad cross-section of its lineup to Brussels, Maserati used the event to demonstrate its strategy of offering both electric and internal-combustion vehicles under a single luxury and performance identity. From grand touring convertibles and racing-inspired supercars to all-electric luxury SUVs, the brand signalled its intention to carry forward more than a century of Italian automotive heritage into its next phase of evolution.
