Ethiopian model Keneni Adugna was laid to rest on Friday at Addis Ababa, where grieving family members, friends and supporters gathered at Saint Cathedral Church to mourn her sudden death.
According to a statement released Wednesday by Addis Ababa Police, the model fell from the balcony of her fifth-floor apartment under circumstances that remain unclear.
Authorities said investigators have examined the scene and are collecting forensic and technical evidence as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
Police confirmed that Adugna’s fiancé, popular Ethiopian singer Andualem Gosa, is currently in police custody while the inquiry continues.
Family members and fans of the late model say they are awaiting further details as investigators work to determine what led to her fall.
