Jay-Z has announced plans to stage two major anniversary concerts at Yankee Stadium in New York City, where he will perform two of his most celebrated albums in full.
The rapper is scheduled to open the series on 10 July with a performance commemorating the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt, followed by a second show on 11 July dedicated to a full rendition of The Blueprint in honour of its 25th anniversary.
Details regarding ticket sales, special guests, or the possibility of additional dates have not yet been disclosed. An announcement shared via Instagram simply urged fans to “Stay tuned.”
The development comes a day after The Roots revealed that Jay-Z would join them at their annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on 30 May.
The anniversary celebrations have been building momentum since last month, when the artist made his 1996 single Dead Presidents available on streaming platforms for the first time.
Jay-Z has not released a solo studio album since 4:44 in 2017, although he collaborated with Beyoncé on their joint 2018 project Everything Is Love. In recent years, he has largely maintained a low public profile.
The rapper and Beyoncé share three children: Blue Ivy Carter, 14, and twins Rumi Carter and Sir Carter, aged eight.
