Dubai officially secured a Guinness World Record on Sunday morning for the largest Lagree fitness class ever conducted, featuring 253 participants at the DIFC Gate. The event, organized by Longevity Wellness Hub in partnership with DIFC and Lagree Fitness, saw attendees performing high-intensity, low-impact movements on patented Microformers against the backdrop of the city’s skyline. Guinness World Records officials were present on-site to verify the numbers and certify the achievement as the largest gathering of its kind in history.

Sebastien Lagree, the founder of the Lagree Method, traveled to Dubai to personally lead the record-breaking session, which consisted of two consecutive 45-minute workouts. Reflecting on the milestone, Lagree noted that “this is the first time I’ve ever broken a world record,” adding that the experience of leading the massive group while his son performed as the event’s DJ was “incredibly overwhelming and amazing.” The workout method, which blends Pilates-inspired stability with bodybuilding intensity, was demonstrated en masse as live music accompanied the synchronized movements of the participants.

Dani Afiouni, Founder and CEO of Longevity Wellness Hub, stated that the initiative was designed to celebrate the local community and the city’s landmark architecture. According to Afiouni, “this event was all about gratitude: for movement, for the iconic DIFC Gate, for the beauty of Dubai as a city, and for the community coming together.” He further explained that the objective was to illustrate that collective movement serves as a pathway to both healing and general wellness. The project took several months of coordination with the Lagree international team to ensure the technical requirements for the record were met.

The successful world record attempt serves as the launch for a week of specialized fitness experiences scheduled across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Despite the ongoing schedule of events, organizers identified the DIFC session as the focal point of the week due to its scale and the specific verified achievement. Sebastien Lagree praised the choice of the venue, remarking that “DIFC was the perfect location” and noting that the “architecture and energy were truly incredible” for such a large-scale physical undertaking.
