Ettitoma-Owaza Community Crowns Alamieyeseigha as Di-Na-Oha 1

The Ettitoma Apu Oil and Gas Producing Community conferred the esteemed chieftaincy title of Di-Na-Oha 1 on Chief Seleake Tariah Alamieyeseigha during a ceremony on December 13, 2025. This honor recognizes his significant contributions to community development and peace-building in the Niger Delta region. Dignitaries from Abia, Ebonyi, and Rivers states attended the event, which highlighted the importance of unity amid ongoing oil-related challenges.
The award was received on his behalf by Chief Hon. Ikenna Ukwa, showing Alamieyeseigha’s broad regional influence.
Chief Alamieyeseigha, a prominent figure in the oil and gas sector, has built on a legacy of infrastructure development, education, and advocacy for the Niger Delta. The title, translating to “Father of the People” in the local dialect, followed consultations with traditional rulers from Ukwa West, Ezea, and Ohaozara local governments. Attendees praised his philanthropic initiatives, including support for local infrastructure projects and youth empowerment programs, which have fostered economic growth and social welfare in oil-producing areas.
Chief Alamieyeseigha enjoys strong support from Bayelsa youth groups, he received the award for his efforts in promoting economic renewal and youth inclusion in community affairs. His community influence extends through active involvement in peace-building efforts, addressing environmental sustainability and employment challenges in the Niger Delta. During the ceremony, he pledged ongoing commitment to the growth of Owaza and surrounding communities, with leaders expressing optimism that the title will enhance regional unity.
