The Embassy of Germany in Abuja has announced a vacancy for a full-time administrative officer in its political department.
According to a job notice sighted on its website on Monday, the embassy said it is seeking a case worker to join its political unit on a 40-hour weekly schedule, with employment expected to commence as soon as possible.
“The position is initially limited to one year, with the prospect of permanent employment,” it added.
The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking media reports across print, online and social platforms, maintaining networks with political stakeholders, and supporting diplomatic engagements and embassy projects.
Other duties include organising political events, conferences and briefings, and conducting research on political, economic and social issues.
Applicants are required to possess at least a bachelor’s degree in fields such as law, economics, political science, international relations or related disciplines.

The embassy noted that shortlisted candidates would undergo a selection process in Abuja between May and June 2026, adding that only successful applicants would be contacted.
It further stated that it would neither acknowledge receipt of applications nor reimburse travel expenses for interviews.
