NCC Named Among Top Five Best-Performing Federal Agencies For 2025 ~ PEBEC Rating

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been recognized as one of the top five best-performing Federal Government agencies for 2025 in the Transparency and Efficiency category by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC). The announcement was made during the PEBEC Awards and Gala Night held at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.

The NCC’s dedication to openness, accountability, and exceptional public service delivery has earned it this prestigious recognition. The top-performing agencies in this category include the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria Customs Service, and Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), according to ITREALMS report.

The EVC/CEO of NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida, expressed satisfaction in the Commission’s achievement, stating, “This recognition affirms the values that guide our work, transparency, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to regulatory excellence.” He reaffirmed the NCC’s commitment to sustaining high standards of transparency and regulatory excellence.

The PEBEC Director-General, Zahrah Mustapha-Audu, described the awards as a celebration of public service champions who have “moved beyond compliance, embracing excellence as the new standard for public service delivery.” The Chairman of PEBEC and Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, emphasized the government’s commitment to building a more efficient, competitive public service.

The top five Agencies are; Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (Overall Best-Performing Agency), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria Customs Service, and Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
