The City Boy Movement has made public the appointment of Super Eagles players Shehu Abdullahi and Kenneth Omeruo to positions in its national leadership structure.
The announcement was made by the movement’s National Director of Media Monitoring and Rapid Response
Bashir Ahmad, and a member of its National Working Committee on Thursday.
According to Ahmad, Abdullahi was appointed National Deputy Director of Sports, while Omeruo was named National Assistant Director of Sports.
“At the City Boy Movement, we are delighted to welcome Shehu Abdullahi and Kenneth Omeruo to the movement,” Ahmad said.
“Shehu Abdullahi joins us as National Deputy Director of Sports, while Kenneth Omeruo takes on the role of National Assistant Director of Sports. Welcome onboard!”
Abdullahi, 33, is a former Super Eagles defender who represented Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Omeruo, 32, has also been a regular member of the national team and featured for Nigeria at the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups.
The City Boy Movement is a political support group whose leadership directory lists Ahmad as its National Director of Media Monitoring and Rapid Response and a member of its National Working Committee.
