The promoters of Centenary City have announced the launch of “The Grove,” a new luxury residential district comprising more than 200 five-bedroom housing units designed to attract high-net-worth individuals and diaspora investors.
The project, located near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport corridor in Abuja, is positioned as a premium gated enclave within the broader Centenary City master plan. Developers said the estate will feature expansive duplexes equipped with modern architectural finishes, private gardens, advanced security systems, and dedicated recreational facilities.
A representative of the development company described The Grove as a strategic addition to Abuja’s luxury real estate market. “The Grove is tailored for discerning homeowners seeking exclusivity, security, and long-term value. We are particularly targeting Nigerians in the diaspora who want a secure and premium investment back home,” the official said.
According to project documents, the district will include paved internal roads, uninterrupted power solutions, water treatment systems, green areas, and centralized estate management services. Developers added that the estate is being built to international standards, with phased delivery expected over the coming months.
Real estate analysts say the launch reflects sustained investor interest in high-end properties within the Federal Capital Territory, particularly along the airport axis, which has witnessed increased infrastructure expansion in recent years. One property consultant noted, “Luxury developments near the airport corridor are becoming attractive because of accessibility and the promise of integrated urban planning.”
The Centenary City project itself was conceived as a mixed-use urban development incorporating residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional facilities. The addition of The Grove is seen as an effort to accelerate residential occupancy within the larger framework.
Developers emphasized that subscription inquiries have already begun from both local and overseas investors. “We are seeing strong interest from diaspora Nigerians who view this as both a lifestyle upgrade and a hedge against currency volatility,” the spokesperson stated.
Industry observers say that while demand for luxury housing remains niche, the segment continues to expand steadily, driven by rising urbanization, wealth accumulation among entrepreneurs, and increasing appetite for structured estate living.
Construction activities are ongoing at the site, with developers assuring potential buyers that regulatory approvals and compliance standards have been fully addressed. The launch of The Grove marks another milestone in Abuja’s evolving real estate landscape, reinforcing the capital’s position as a hub for premium residential investment.
