Real estate developer Minimalist & Co has unveiled a new residential development known as the M120 Apartments in Lekki, positioning the project as a modern lifestyle-focused housing option within the rapidly expanding real estate market of Lagos.
The development, introduced during a formal launch event attended by industry stakeholders and investors, is designed to cater to a segment of the housing market seeking a combination of luxury, functionality and long-term investment value in one of Lagos’ most active property corridors.
Developers said the M120 Apartments project was conceived to respond to growing demand for high-quality residential units that provide both modern amenities and strong rental prospects in areas with established infrastructure and commercial activity.
A representative of the company described the project as part of a broader effort to redefine urban residential standards in Lagos. “Our vision is to deliver lifestyle-oriented apartments that combine comfort, modern design and investment value for residents and property investors,” the developer said.
The launch comes at a time when several stakeholders in Nigeria’s real estate sector have been advocating stronger regulatory oversight for property management and brokerage practices, particularly to curb the activities of unlicensed operators within the industry.
Industry leaders say the presence of unregulated practitioners has contributed to disputes and inconsistencies in property management standards, prompting calls for more structured supervision and professional certification within the sector.
Developers behind the M120 Apartments project said the new complex was planned with a focus on sustainable urban growth and disciplined capital allocation, factors increasingly considered by investors seeking long-term returns in the Lagos property market.
Despite economic uncertainties and fluctuations in construction costs, property analysts note that demand for mid-market and upper-mid-tier residential units remains resilient in strategic districts such as Lekki, where rental yields and occupancy rates have historically remained strong.
According to the developers, the project is expected to attract both owner-occupiers and investors interested in rental income opportunities within Lagos’ growing housing market.
They added that the development reflects confidence in the long-term growth prospects of the city’s real estate sector, particularly in emerging urban districts that continue to benefit from infrastructure expansion and population growth.
