Precious Enyi Becomes General Manager, Voice Of The People Television
The Management of VOICE OF THE PEOPLE 90.3 FM Lagos, 96.1 FM Abuja and the Golden Tulip Airport Hotel, along International Airport Road Lagos has appointed popular television and radio host, Precious Enyi as the General Manager of its newly established Television station, Voice of the People Television.
The beautiful and petite Rivers State born presenter who was a popular face on Wazobia TV’s breakfast show ‘Gudu Morning Naija ‘, had before her switch into television broadcasting, carved herself into a brand with her velvety voice on Radio Nigeria’s Treasure FM Port Harcourt, Radio One Lagos and Metro FM as an On Air Personality between December 2002 and September 2021.
This is also aside having a brief tint with NTA and AIT Port Harcourt as the children’s birthday show co-host and independent Producer/Presenter.
Upon further research on the appointment, a top management staff of the group of companies who spoke on anonymity said “In the management’s efforts towards bringing in the best of hands to run the media arm of our successful chains of businesses, we have carefully searched the media space for someone who has a bond with the common man on the street through her style of broadcasting and contents creation records”.“Our interest is to bring in a face already known by the streets and also communicate with the streets to consolidate the efforts of our radio stations, Voice of the People 90.3 FM Lagos and Voice of the People 96.1FM Abuja. After a thorough search, the management decided to bring in Precious Enyi who we feel carefully fits into our idea of a creative and grassroots friendly ideology big picture of our media arms”.
“We are optimistic that Precious will bring in her wealth of experience on board towards achieving the management goals. We wish her all the best in her new position”, the source added.
While reacting on her appointment in a recent interview with Guardian Newspaper, she expressed enthusiasm that her experience across the media space would serve as a strong ladder to the top of her career.
“I am humbled with this appointment as it means my efforts over two decades in the media space was truly recognized. I have always been a restless and ambitious person who always wants to explore new challenges and conquer new frontiers.”“One major excitement right now is that it is a bigger platform to serve the people and ensure that their voices are heard and amplified.”
“It is necessary to give a voice to the people on the streets and communicate in the language they understand while maintaining broadcast borders and journalism ethics. I am excited and hopeful for the best on this task as God leads”, she added with her signature television charming smile.
The new appointment makes her in charge of the pioneer People-oriented Lagos television station which is currently spreading its tentacles to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin and Onitsha.
Guardian had a brief chat with some of the television staff, Francis Ogwo head of Production said “Precious is really precious as she has made the job a lot more interesting and motivating. Her level of intelligence and team spirit gives the team a high level of enthusiasm to deliver I am really excited working with her”.
A staff member of the television station who was already employed before Precious’ appointment said “Madam Precious is very thorough and knowledgeable, she knows about everything in the job from editing to quality of programming, equipment etc. Her appointment has brought a lot of improvement to the quality of content and also brought discipline, we are now understanding how this job is done professionally”.
The Head of Programmes for the television station Isioma Uzu said “Precious Enyi, is a sweet soul, caring to a fault, so loving, fun to be with, kind hearted and a woman of virtue.
