The 7th Edition of prestigious Best of Edo Award begins in earnest
All is now set for the commencement of 7th edition of the annual prestigious Best of Edo Award. The Award ceremony which is billed to hold on Sunday October 20th 2024 at the highly envied and popularized, Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub, in Benin City is tagged: ‘ RESETTING THE MORAL TOOL FOR SOCIETY’.
According to the Award organizers, The Best of Edo Award which is in its 7th edition has been accorded recognition nationwide because of its focus on impact and contribution to society. Recipients, who come from different walks of life and strata of society, have spoken highly of the award which is usually offered unsolicited and not paid for.
Besides there is rigorous screening of Awardees by a Jury, in a three stage process, lasting 9 months and must be approved by the Advisory Board. Among the top society elites who have received the Annual Awards, who carry their award as a badge of honour, are the erudite and versatile high profile Lawyer, Professor Mike Ozekhome, an activist and celebrated Edo Lawyer, Barrister Jefferson Uwoghiren, Hadiza Abubakar, a successful Nollywood Actress, a Top Media Celebrity, Samuel Mac EbiEsq, Dr. D. Owen Omogiafo, Group CEO Transcorp Group, Kelvin Uwaibi, M.D. Edo Investment Promotion office as well as some post humous awardees, the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, Sir Victor Uwiafo and Osayomore Joseph.
With the award slated for October, 2024, the organizers of the annual awards are calling for nominations into the 12 award categories. The nominations will open from February, 16th 2024 and closes on April 30th 2024, while final adjudication approval of eventual winners will be concluded by the Central Working Committee, in time for the October Award event.
