President of AMP, Amb. Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson and team paid visit to Enugu State government

Earlier today, the national President of AMP, Amb. Dr. Queen Blessing Ebigieson led a team of national and state executives and stakeholders holders to the Enugu State government house to discuss important needs of producers in the state and beyond.‍

It was necessary to meet with the ever working governor of enugu state, to also point him to the direction that the film industry is supposed to be going in Enugu state at this time, as the national framework of the association of movie producers AMP Nigeria, it is believe that we have the potentials to give more employments to the youths as a roll into Nollywood on a daily basis in their numbers, how ever we told the governor we need support in the area of funding, so the government needs to step in to help us with single digit long- term loans.

We also discussed the need for Community cinemas to help bridge the gap the absence of DVDs & VCDs has created between us and a very big part of our local market,

We generally spoke about so many topics especially on getting discounts on hotels when we bring Productions into the state while also getting security assurances for our productions in the state.

The Enugu state governor assured us that all security measures have been put in place to make the state one of the most peaceful state as at now.

In general it was a fruitful and positive outing as his Excellency received us with high spirits while also praising our achievements to the country’s GDP and our efforts to employ the youths. We are optimistic we will begin to see good resuls soon per our discussions.
