2040 Or 2044 Games: Poland Raises Hand For Olympic Bid

Donald Tusk, Polish Prime Minister announced on Friday that Poland will officially bid to host the Olympic Games in 2040 or 2044. This decision marks a significant step for the country, which has never hosted an Olympic Games before.

Tusk explained: “I dedicate this decision to the 10, 12 and 15-year-olds of today. Poland will officially bid to host the Olympic Games.” He added that 2040 or 2044 are realistic prospects, considering the decisions, commitments, and preliminary statements of the International Olympic Committee.

This announcement follows a previous statement by Poland’s conservative president Andrzej Duda, who last year stated his intention to submit a bid for the 2036 Summer Olympics.
