Senator Gbenga Daniel Fulfills Promise To Sotubo, Ijagun People, Others In Ogun As They Receive 500KVA Transformers

Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East and a former governor of Ogun State, has fulfilled his promise to bring light back to communities left in darkness for over a year and a half, in a significant gesture of community support. The senator delivered 500KVA transformers to several areas in Ogun State, including Sotubo in Sagamu, Ijagun in Odogbolu, Idagunren in Ijebu East, and Odoshenlu in Ijebu North East.

Residents of Ijagun, one of the beneficiaries, expressed their joy through music and dance as they welcomed the much-needed transformer. Chief Kayode Okeowo, Eketa Ilu Ijagun, expressed deep gratitude for the senator’s intervention, describing the transformer as a “gift that will transform the entire community.”

“We’ve been without power for such a long time, and this couldn’t have come at a better moment,” said community member Gbenga Oduyemi, echoing the sentiments of many residents. Mrs. Dupe Osabiya, APC Chairman of Ward 7 Ishanyi in Ijebu North East, also praised Senator Daniel for bringing light to their lives after 18 months of darkness, adding, “May he never know darkness in his own life.”

In Sotubo, Oba Oluseyi Odutola, the traditional ruler, welcomed the transformer with open arms, noting that it would provide electricity to key locations, including the community’s market, palace, and police station. He acknowledged the collaborative effort between Senator Daniel and President Bola Tinubu, expressing his excitement and appreciation for the senator’s commitment to the community.

The donation of the transformers is part of Senator Daniel’s broader agenda to uplift his constituency. Over the past year, the senator has been actively involved in advancing infrastructure and empowerment projects, including submitting 11 bills in the Senate. Key among these bills are the South West Development Commission Bill and the Federal College of Aviation Technology Bill.

Through his involvement in Senate committees, such as the Navy and National Identity & Population, and his numerous community-focused initiatives—including school renovations, borehole installations, and employment drives—Senator Daniel continues to demonstrate his dedication to national development.

His efforts have not gone unnoticed by his constituents, who continuously show their appreciation, as chants of “OGD l’ekan si” (OGD must continue to represent us) echoed across the communities.

With fully operational constituency offices in Abuja and Sagamu, Senator Gbenga Daniel remains committed to ensuring that the people of Ogun East and beyond enjoy sustainable development and empowerment. His dedication to transforming lives through infrastructure, legislative action, and community engagement has solidified his status as a leader who delivers on his promises.
