Elizabeth Onuwaje, popularly known as Lizzy Gold, was born in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, into an Itsekiri family. She celebrates her 37th birthday today.

• A single mother

Despite persistent rumours about her family life, Lizzy is a proud mother of two. She gave birth to her first child, a boy, in 2015 at a private hospital in South Africa.

Before her rise to fame in Nollywood, Lizzy was crowned Miss Delta State in 2006, a win that laid the foundation for her career in entertainment.

Lizzy participated in the MBGN beauty pageant, where she emerged as the second runner-up.
