As the year approaches towards the end, so are the plans for the holiday season bringing both joy and anxiety alike to residents with increase to minor common crimes as expected like anywhere else in the world during the festive season.
The need for increased security should not be seasonal and true to that statement is Excellent Security’s commitment to safekeeping the community and the nation. Headquartered in Parkmore, one of the top 10 most desirable communities in South Africa, this 100% black owned private security company is fast becoming one of the leading security companies in the Country. With operations and clients that vary from Universities, Hospitals, Corporate Offices, Residential Communities, Retail Centres and Private VIP services, the demand is high and service delivery is a priority.
Priority is also placed on commemorating World AIDS Day alongside the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence (GBV) for women and children both speaking to the importance of safety and security.
ESS plans to kickstart the holiday season by giving back to the Sandton community through a joint event to be hosted on World AIDS Day, 1 December 2024. The day shall start with a 16 minute commemoration walk to recognise the fallen to HIV-AIDS while also standing in solidarity with WHO (World Health Organisation) to raise awareness on the annual 16 Days of “NO TO GBV” campaign.
In partnership with the Gauteng Department of Health, SANBS- South African National Blood Services, Sandton Police Station and other stakeholders both in government and private sector, Excellent Security Services is envisioning a day that is educational, informative and motivational through activities that includes self defense classes, HIV testing, general health checkups, blood donations and fund raising with proceeds that will be given to a children’s AIDS home in Johannesburg.
Now that is the true spirit of community upliftment and should be emulated 365 days a year. Excellent Security Services wishes the Sandton community, South Africa and Africa a happy and safe holiday season.
