Actress Laide Bakare recently received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Arts and Humanities from the American University of Peace and Governance (AUPG), USA.
The actress confirmed the news, sharing photos from the conferment ceremony on her Instagram page.
She announced that it is now official to address her as “Hon. (Dr.) Laide Bakare,” expressing gratitude and dedicating the honour to her commitment to governance, leadership, and service to humanity.
Laide’s heartfelt caption read:
“This honor bestowed on me as a Doctor Of Arts & Humanities (Honoris Causa) by the American University of Peace and Governance, USA, is a motivation geared towards dedication to Governance, leadership, and service to humanity. I am using this medium to appreciate His Excellency, Amb. Dr. Jonathan Ojadah, Chairman of the Supreme Council of American University of Peace and Governance, USA.”
The mother of three also paid tribute to Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, whom she described as her mentor and a source of inspiration.
She praised his strong support and dedication to national development, noting his passion for the growth of Osun State.
