Marketplace: Meta to test eBay listings on Faceook

Meta announced on Wednesday that it would launch a new test in Germany, France, and the United States, enabling buyers to browse listings from eBay on Facebook Marketplace and complete their transactions directly on eBay.

This move is part of Meta’s ongoing efforts to expand its Marketplace platform.

This comes after the European Commission fined Meta $840 million in November for anti-competitive practices related to Facebook Marketplace. The Commission had accused Meta of using its market position to favour its services over competitors. While Meta is appealing the decision, the company confirmed that it is working to address the concerns raised by the Commission.
