The member of the House of Representatives representing Okigwe South federal constituency, Chike Okafor has promised not to trade his salvation in Jesus Christ with anything that doesn’t give God glory.
He insisted that he does not belong to any deadly and dreaded cult as about to be bandied about by some people who are hell-bent on blackmailing him.
In a statement released by his Media Office, Okafor asserted that he was not only a Christian but also an ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and a gospel musician who relishes in preaching and singing praises to God.
He said his attention had been drawn to an ongoing plot by a few political detractors, who have hired some mercenaries to sustain a devilish blackmail on him in the media.
The Federal lawmaker averred that after failing woefully to achieve their aim in social media, the blackmailers plan to extend their blackmail to some print media outfits in the days ahead.
He disclosed that the blackmailers intended to clone his pictures with weird colours and apparel, depicting him as belonging to a deadly and dreaded secret cult.
Okafor said, “I am a Christian and an ordained minister of the gospel, who would not trade his salvation in Christ with anything that cannot glorify God.
“Very competent sources who were hitherto working with them, but have now turned away from the obvious foolery have also informed us that these purveyors of iniquity are planning to clone the pictures of Deacon Okafor with some weird colours, which they intend to circulate on social media to give correlation to one of their wild and unfounded falsity that he belongs to a deadly and dreaded secret cult.

“For emphasis, Deacon Chike Okafor is not only a firm Christian but also an ordained minister of the gospel and a known gospel musician who relishes preaching the gospel and singing praise and worship to God Almighty.
“He is a believer who will never trade his salvation for earthly things that don’t glorify God Almighty.”
