CAN ready for five-day peace crusade in Plateau, December
The Christian Association of Nigeria is set to embark on a five-day crusade aimed at promoting peace and unity in Plateau State.
The event, dubbed “Jos Jesus Crusade,” will take place from December 17 to 21, 2025, at St. John’s College, opposite the Polo Field, Jos.
Addressing a press conference in Jos on Monday, CAN Chairman, Rev. Dunka Gomwalk, emphasized the need for Christians to come together and pray for the nation’s peace and unity.
He stated that the crusade would provide an opportunity for reconciliation with the Creator, promote peace among individuals, and spread the message of Christ throughout the state.
He urged Nigerians to shun violence and embrace peace, citing the country’s current security challenges.
“We believe that, as the body of Christ, we are called to unity, especially in these times of security tension in our state. It’s essential that we reflect on our actions and turn back to God.
“The crusade will offer us an opportunity to reconcile with the Creator, to have peace with one another, and then ensure that the message of Christ is spread throughout the state,” Gomwalk, who was represented by CAN Secretary, Julius Arabo, said.
The Secretary of the Central Planning Committee, Rev. Joshua Mape, expressed confidence that the crusade would be a great harvest, with mass breakthroughs, salvation, and healing.
Mape noted that the church in Plateau State is divided, but the crusade would bring unity and be a blessing to the state.
“We are trusting God that the crusade is going to be a great harvest. We are trusting that there will be mass breakthrough, especially salvation, healing, and we see this crusade as a unified factor that will bring the church together.
“The crusade will feature gospel messages, worship, healing, and deliverance sessions, and is free for the public.
“The organisers have made arrangements for transportation, with buses conveying people to and from the crusade venue. The event is expected to attract people from all walks of life, including students, families, and individuals,” Mape said.
