Senator Ned Munir Nwoko Undertakes Official Visit to Kaduna State

Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, today, 18th February 2026, embarked on an official visit to Kaduna, engaging key military, political, and business stakeholders in a series of strategic meetings focused on national unity, security collaboration, and economic development.

The Senator was accompanied by a high-level delegation including Alhaji Yaya Abubakar; Senator Abu Ibrahim; Sa’idu Yahaya; Ademola Odeyemi, Managing Director of Optimus Bank; and Barrister Charles Ude.

The visit commenced with a courtesy call on Colonel Sani Bello (Rtd), former Aide-de-Camp to Nigeria’s late Head of State, Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, and former Governor of Kano State. Discussions centered on leadership, democratic consolidation, and the imperative of strengthening national cohesion. Colonel Bello shared insights from his extensive public service experience, emphasizing the importance of unity and institutional stability.

Senator Nwoko and his delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), where they were received by the Commandant, Major General Oluyemi Thomas Olatoye. The delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the Academy’s operations and its pivotal role in training military officers and advancing Nigeria’s defense and security architecture.

Deliberations during the NDA engagement focused on national security, peacebuilding initiatives, and collaborative frameworks between legislative institutions and security agencies. The discussions underscored the importance of sustained partnerships in addressing emerging security challenges and fostering long-term stability.

The visit concluded with strategic business meetings aimed at exploring investment opportunities, strengthening financial partnerships, and promoting cross-regional economic cooperation. Emphasis was placed on infrastructure development, job creation, and leveraging private-sector expertise to drive sustainable growth across Nigeria’s regions.

Senator Nwoko and his delegation departed Kaduna and safely returned to Abuja later the same day, concluding a productive and impactful official visit.
