Following the official announcement of the 7th edition of Hackaholics, Wema Bank has announced University of Uyo as the first pitch centre location in the national tour of Hackaholics, the Bank’s flagship youth and startup-focused initiative designed to help young Africans transform their creative, game-changing, tech-driven ideas into working solutions.
Scheduled for July 15 to 17, 2026, the first pitch centre, University of Uyo, will kick-start the Hackaholics 7.0 national tour, which is set to touch 10 pitch centres across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria. Each Pitch Centre will serve as a hub where innovators within and around the location will pitch their creative solutions for the opportunity to emerge as winners in their respective centres and ultimately advance to the Grand Finale, where they will compete for a share of the N150 million prize pool.
Themed “Powering Possibilities”, Hackaholics 7.0 introduces three tracks: the Startup Pitch Competition, Hackathon, and the newly introduced Social Impact Track. Interested innovators can submit solutions across seven verticals: Financial Inclusion, Healthcare, Digital Transformation, Education, Sustainability, Social Impact, and the Future of Work.
Hackaholics 7.0 is free and open to Nigerian youth, startups, founders, developers, and innovators with creative solutions to address real-world challenges.
