The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has visited Costa Rican President Laura Fernández during his stay in the Central American country for the National Crusade of Hope.
Adeboye disclosed the visit in a social media post on Tuesday, saying he was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, to the presidential office.
He described the meeting as an honour and an opportunity to strengthen relationships while discussing faith, hope, peace and the transformation of lives.
“It was a great honour to visit the Presidency of Costa Rica alongside my beloved wife @pastorfoluadeboye during the National Crusade of Hope,” he wrote.
The RCCG leader said the Christian message transcended national borders, languages and cultures, adding that the church remained committed to spreading the gospel across nations.
“The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not limited by borders, languages, or cultures. Our mission remains to take the message of salvation to every nation, trusting God to bring hope to individuals, families, and communities,” he stated.
Adeboye also prayed for Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, expressing hope that the country would continue to experience peace, healing and restoration.
“May the Lord bless President Laura Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, and may this nation continue to experience the goodness and peace of God,” he added.
He concluded his message with a quotation from Habakkuk 2:14, which reads: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
Photographs shared alongside the post showed Adeboye and his wife with their son, Leke Adeboye, and other church officials.
The visit came during Adeboye’s participation in the National Crusade of Hope, held at Costa Rica’s National Stadium in San José on October 17, 2026.
The event was organised by the RCCG and the Costa Rican Evangelical Alliance Federation, with Christian music performers Tercer Cielo and Averly Morillo also featuring on the programme.
The gathering brought together participants for Christian worship, music, prayer and preaching, forming part of the church’s evangelical activities in the country.
Adeboye’s visit to the presidency added a diplomatic and relationship-building dimension to his stay in Costa Rica, as he used the occasion to convey his prayers and goodwill to the country’s leadership and population.
