Afrobeats star Davido was declared Best International Act at the 2026 Liberian Entertainment Awards (LEA).

The ceremony was held on April 25 at the Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC.

Davido won ahead of a strong international lineup, including fellow Nigerian artist Rema, South African singer Tyla, American rapper Gunna, and American singer Fridayy.

The Liberian Entertainment Awards, founded in 2009, recognize achievements in music, film, fashion, and community service, with a focus on both Liberian talent and the diaspora.

After a five-year hiatus, the 2026 “Return to Greatness” edition marked a major revival of the awards.

Davido’s win adds to his growing list of international honours and reflects the continued global rise of Afrobeats and Nigerian music.
