Award-winning artist Ayra Starr is set to make history as the first Afrobeats artist to headline an NFL halftime show.

The National Football League announced on Thursday that the Nigerian singer will perform at the 2026 NFL London Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The match will take place on Sunday, October 11, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ayra Starr also confirmed the booking on her official Instagram page.

The London game is part of the NFL’s 2026 International Games schedule.

The league said the halftime show will be one of seven presented by American Express across seven countries and four continents this season.

Previous halftime performers at NFL London games have largely been British and American acts.

The upcoming performance will mark a major milestone for African music on a global sporting stage.

Kick-off for the Eagles vs Jaguars game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. British Summer Time.
