Nollywood stars Dakore Egbuson-Akande and Timini Egbuson are marking their mother’s 70th birthday today.
Both actors took to Instagram to honour the matriarch with touching messages and photos.
Sharing pictures with his mother, Timini described her as incredible, praising her spirit and thanking God for her life.
In his words: “Seventy years of Grace, love, and beautiful sacrifices. Happy birthday, Mom; you look incredible, and your spirit is unmatched. I thank God for the gift of your life and pray He grants you the finest things and good health in this new chapter. Let’s show her some love; please wish her a happy birthday and drop some prayers.”
His elder sister, Dakore, also paid tribute to their mother, describing her as her first home and first teacher.
The screen diva, who described her mother as ‘Mamoushka of life’, said turning 70 in such radiance was a joy.
She wrote, “As you can see, I got it from my Mama!! 70 years of Grace. 70 years of love. 70 years of you. Today, we celebrate my beautiful mother, my first home, my first teacher.
“A woman whose laughter can light up a room and whose presence carries a quiet strength that speaks for itself. Mamoushka of life, watching you step into 70 with so much joy, beauty, and radiance fills my heart with gratitude.
“You have lived, loved, nurtured, sacrificed, preserved and given so much of yourself to the people you love. And now, this chapter is yours. A chapter of joy. A chapter of freedom. A chapter of beautiful memories yet to be made. A chapter of living fully and unapologetically.”
Dakore further prayed for her mother, adding: “May this new decade bring you abundant blessings, good health, peace, laughter, and every desire of your heart. Happy 70th birthday to my radiant and beautiful queen mother. You are deeply loved. You are celebrated, and today, we raise a glass to you, my Libra Queen. 70 never looked so good.”
