Kola Oyewo on 80th Birthday, Tinubu Celebrates Veteran Actor.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated renowned filmmaker, actor and retired Theatre Arts lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Alagba Kola Oyewo, on his 80th birthday.

In a statement on Saturday shared by the Presidency Nigeria on X, the President described Oyewo as a national treasure and a worthy ambassador of Yoruba theatre and Nigerian storytelling, noting that his contributions have significantly shaped the country’s cultural and creative landscape.

Highlighting Oyewo’s long-standing impact on theatre, film and academia, Tinubu said the veteran actor’s work has influenced generations of practitioners and scholars in the performing arts.
