Veteran actor Jide Kosoko announced the arrangements in a statement shared on his Instagram page.

According to the announcement, Ogogo’s remains will be taken to Ilaro, where a lying-in-state ceremony will be held at the Pavillon, Ilaro, by 11:00 a.m.

The founder of Best of Nollywood, Seun Oloketuyi, also confirmed the burial arrangements through a statement from the Ilaro Muslim Community.

The statement said the burial prayer would take place at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.

His death came days after his daughters, Kaira and Lima Taiwo, appealed for medical assistance for the actor, who had been battling stage-four cancer.

Kaira had earlier revealed that doctors told the family that chemotherapy could no longer be administered because of his condition.

Ogogo was one of the respected figures in the Nigerian film industry and was particularly known for his contributions to Yoruba-language cinema.
