Wizkid made me go viral on social media – Showkey

Daddy Showkey

Veteran Nigerian singer, Daddy Showkey, has explained how Grammy-winning Afrobeats star, Wizkid, played a great role in introducing him to Instagram.

While having a video call with music producer Maleek Berry, Daddy Showkey rehearsed how a casual visit to Wizkid’s home several years ago led to a surprising digital realization.

According to the “Galala” crooner, he discovered he was trending online after Wizkid made a post about him — sparking his curiosity about the popular social media platform.

“I had a special call today from @maleekberry and I shared a story of how @wizkidayo introduced me and also helped me open my Instagram account,” he shared in a post. “And how @iam_kcee also shared knowledge on how to navigate the app.”

Showkey noted that Wizkid not only explained what Instagram was but also took the time to help him create an account. Fellow musician KCee later provided additional guidance on how to use the app effectively.

Expressing deep appreciation, Daddy Showkey thanked both artistes for helping him embrace the digital age and reach a wider audience. “Life is about learning, and applying the knowledge is key to the life we live now,” he said.
