Maltina has expanded its nationwide Nourishment Tour to Ibadan as part of its efforts to deepen nutrition awareness among students through science-based learning activities.

The latest activation was held at Maverick College, Ibadan, in partnership with brand ambassador Tomike Adeoye and STEM Africa.

According to the organisers in a statement, the campaign has reached more than 227,000 students across Nigeria through school tours and pop-up activations.

The initiative comes as Maltina marks its 50th anniversary, with the company seeking to increase engagement with young consumers through nutrition-focused educational programmes.

At the Ibadan event, students participated in science experiments designed to demonstrate the relationship between nutrition, concentration, and cognitive development.

The organisers said the sessions aimed to help students understand the connection between food consumption, learning, and personal development.

Tomike Adeoye engaged students during the event, encouraging participation in the practical learning sessions focused on nutrition and healthy living.

Students were also introduced to the role of nutrients such as Vitamins A, B, and C, as well as calcium, in supporting growth and academic performance.

Speaking on the expansion of the programme, the Portfolio Manager, Non-Alcoholic Brands, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Elohor Olumide-Awe, said the initiative was designed to combine science education with nutrition awareness.

“The impact we are seeing across schools reflects the power of using STEM engagement to explain the science of nourishment. It makes learning come alive and easy to understand.

“Across the different schools we have visited, the level of curiosity and engagement from the students has been remarkable. And as Maltina marks 50 years, initiatives like the Nourishment Tour remain central to our commitment to helping young Nigerians understand the strong link between nourishment, science, and learning outcomes,” Olumide-Awe said.

The company said the programme would continue to expand across schools nationwide as it works towards its target of reaching one million students. Schools, educators, parents, and communities were encouraged to register or nominate schools for participation through the brand’s official platform.
