Beyond Motivations and Prophecies-2

By Idede Oseyande

“…And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren…”

David was anointed as King over Israel while Saul was still on the throne. With a national Priest and Prophet like Samuel, proclaiming him as the next King, one would have thought David relax and wait patiently for the day of his Coronation.

But that was not the case because David understood the place of hard work and personal development beyond the prophecies and the anointing oil.

The first time David entered the Palace at the request of the King, it was not the anointing oil that took him there, but his uncanny ability to play the harp.

What endeared people to him was not the oil but his strength, courage and skill as a warrior. All these abilities made it possible for the prophecy to come to pass in his life.

Dear reader, I don’t know the number of motivational books you have read this year or the number of prophetic services you have attended, the truth is, all that will amount to nothing if you fail to put in the work.

Prophecies concerning your life and destiny are not automated outside your inputs, rather it is centred around you, thereby giving you the power to make it happen.

Beyond the perspire to aspire, and the thus saith the Lord prophetic declaration, you must put in the work.
