The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has vowed he will never get involved in partisan politics, even if offered $1 billion to do so.

Oydepo who was speaking at the impartation service during the church’s annual convocation, Shiloh 2025, charged members to remain committed to their divine assignments, where they are empowered to make impact and “rule their world” as part of what he described as God’s end-time army.

Reflecting on past warnings, the cleric said, “In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?”

According to the cleric, partisanpolitics lay outside his God-given mandate, adding, “Partisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it’s off my course.”

However, Oyedepo one of Nigeria’s foremost pentecostal pastors was alleged to be a backer of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, in the 2023 general elections. An audio had then gone viral which allegedly revealed that Obi was urging Oyedepo to help him influence Christian votes.
