Dangote Refinery drops petrol price to N820, deploying 4,000 CNG trucks for distribution

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has made public a drop in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by N30 per litre.

The petrol price cut, which takes effect from August 12, 2025, lowers the cost from N850 to N820 per litre.

According to a statement issued by its Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the refinery reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products across the country.

The company also announced plans to start the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for nationwide fuel distribution starting August 15, 2025.

In the statement, the move aligns with Dangote Petroleum Refinery’s goal of operational excellence and promoting sustainable energy solutions.
