Fusegbunwa Ruling House rejects K1’s lineage claim after faulting certification and raising questions about his genealogical link
Fusegbunwa Ruling House has formally rejected the lineage claim submitted by Otunba Wasiu Ayinde Adewale Olasunkanmi Adesanya, widely known as K1 De Ultimate, in Ijebu Ode on 11 December 2025, citing procedural breaches and the absence of credible genealogical proof.
The ruling house, led by Family Chairman Otunba Lateef Owoyemi, issued the position in a detailed letter co-signed by Deputy Chairman Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba, Vice Chairman Chief Prof Fassy A. O. Yusuf, General Secretary Pastor Prince Bola Salami, Head of the Jadiara Royal House Otunba Akinola Odedina and Co Head of the Jadiara Royal House Alhaji Adebisi Quadri.
The family leadership stated that the linkage form submitted by Otunba Wasiu Ayinde was invalid because it was not signed by an authorised representative.
The ruling house further noted that the form was certified by Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo two days before Otunba Wasiu Ayinde appended his own signature, describing the certification as irregular.
The family added that its internal records and investigations showed no evidence that the certifying individual belonged to the Jadiara Royal House or held any recognised position within it.
In the letter, the family leadership also disclosed that extensive checks had produced no proof linking Otunba Wasiu Ayinde to the Jadiara Royal House or to the broader Fusegbunwa Ruling House lineage.
The ruling house stated that the submitted form was therefore null and void, and that his claim to membership had been rejected in its entirety.
The correspondence closed with courteous wishes but maintained a resolute tone, underscoring the family’s commitment to procedural integrity and the preservation of its royal heritage.
