Lagos will host 2025 best of Nollywood awards — Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has declared that the state will host the 2025 edition of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.

Sharing the news on X, the governor expressed excitement over the opportunity, noting that it reaffirms Lagos’ commitment to the creative industry both within the state and across Nigeria.

Sanwo-Olu described Nollywood as a vital pillar of Nigeria’s culture, economy, and global identity, while reiterating his administration’s resolve to continue supporting the growth of the creative sector.

He wrote, “I am pleased to share that Lagos will be hosting the 2025 edition of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.

“This is an opportunity to show our deep commitment to the creative industry in Lagos and across Nigeria. Nollywood is a vital part of our culture, our economy, and our global identity.

The BON Awards is a prestigious event that honors outstanding achievements in the Nigerian film industry.
