Moleboheng Matli Makes History at African Day Commemoration in Mvezo, Eastern Cape
In a momentous occasion marking both personal and continental significance, our esteemed Editor-In-Chief, Amb. Moleboheng Matli, MBL, has been invited as a speaker at the African Day Commemoration event by the Mandela Royal House in Mvezo, Eastern Cape under the leadership of Chief Zwelivelile Mandela.
Under the AU’s 2025 theme, “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations,” this gathering is aimed to honour the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.
A Journey of Firsts
Amb. Matli boarded the first flight this morning to Mthatha, touching down at sunrise – a symbolic arrival as she steps onto Eastern Cape soil for the very first time. Her participation in Session 2: Overcoming Poverty and Economic Transformation and Session 3: Africa and Multipolarity underscores her role as a strategic leader shaping Africa’s future.
A Seat at the Table of Change
“To be counted among the few selected voices from across the globe to share expertise on Africa’s liberation and economic transformation is both an honor and a responsibility,” said Matli, who also serves as President & Executive Chairperson of the Women African Tourism Board. Her insights will highlight innovative pathways for Pan-African solidarity, tourism-driven economies, and gender-inclusive growth.
This invitation not only celebrates her visionary leadership but also amplifies Southgerian Lifestyle’s commitment to narrating Africa’s renaissance. As the world turns its gaze to Mvezo, we stand proud that our Editor-In-Chief is at the forefront, scripting history.
