Nigeria’s footballer, Samuel Chukwueze Loses Mother

The mother of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has died.
The news was confirmed on Thursday by his brother, David Chukwueze, in a series of emotional posts on his Instagram story.
“Can’t even post say RIP mom,” he wrote.
“My forever love just left me without saying goodbye. You didn’t even carry your grandchild.”
The family has not disclosed the cause of death, but sources close to them said Chukwueze’s mother had been ill for some time.
Chukwueze, who is currently on loan from AC Milan to Fulham, reportedly shuttled between England and Italy in the first half of the season as she received medical treatment.
The lost comes days after Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi lost his father in a road accident in Delta State.
Chukwueze recently featured for Nigeria at the just-concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, where he faced criticism for missing a penalty kick in the semi-final defeat to Morocco.
The 26-year-old has since bounced back, scoring for Fulham in his first match after the continental tournament.
He has recorded three goals and three assists for the Premier League side this season.
