RCCG parish gives scholarships to students in Abuja

As part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish, Abuja, has empowered 20 Nigerian students in its ongoing scholarship programme, noting that the scholarship programme is aimed at promoting education and empowering Nigerian youth both within the church and across the country.
The initiative, launched approximately three years ago, aligns with the broader CSR vision of the RCCG, led by its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
In a statement made available online on Monday, the church noted that the scholarship programme has emerged as a beacon of hope for aspiring Nigerian youths, fostering education as a cornerstone of personal and national transformation.
The church also noted that last year, the program benefited nearly 100 students, and this year, the parish has sustained its momentum by extending aid to almost 20 beneficiaries and reinforcing its commitment to long-term empowerment.
The statement read, ‘’In line with the Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) mandate of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), championed by the General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the RCCG City of David Parish, Abuja, pastored by Pastor Agbolade Okenla, has continued to make remarkable progress in its scholarship initiative aimed at supporting education and empowering Nigerian youths within the church and across the nation.
‘’The program, which started about three years ago, has impacted many lives. Last year alone, almost 100 students benefited from the scholarships. This year, the church has continued the drive, sustaining the scheme and currently supporting nearly 20 students.
‘’This initiative has been fueled by the vision and dedication of the Resident Pastor, Pastor Agbolade Okenla, who has consistently emphasized the importance of investing in young people as a way of securing Nigeria’s future. His passion and commitment to the education of Nigerian youths have been a strong motivation behind the scholarship scheme, ensuring it remains a priority for the church.
