The 6th South West Investment Summit and Advancement Awards 2026 is set to hold on Friday, September 4, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with political leaders, policymakers, business executives, investors, traditional rulers and other stakeholders expected to attend.
The annual event, organised by ASo Multimedia, is expected to bring together stakeholders from the public and private sectors to discuss investment, economic development, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership and regional advancement.
The summit is expected to feature the Governor of Lagos State, the Managing Director of the Bank of Industry, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission and the Chairman of the Management Board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund.
Senior members of the Federal Executive Council are also expected to attend, including the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, the Minister of Youth Development and the Minister of Interior, alongside other government officials and policymakers.
The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, is also expected to grace the occasion alongside traditional rulers and royal fathers from across the South West.
According to the organisers, the summit will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to examine emerging investment opportunities, strengthen public-private partnerships, promote entrepreneurship and explore practical strategies for unlocking the economic potential of the South West.
The event will also feature the South West Investment and Advancement Awards 2026, which will recognise individuals, institutions, entrepreneurs, public servants, investors and community leaders for their contributions across various sectors.
The awards will celebrate achievements in public service, business, investment, real estate, technology, youth development, philanthropy, humanitarian service, media, agriculture, sports and community development.
The organisers said the 2026 edition would also celebrate the heritage and contributions of Yoruba sons and daughters across Nigeria and the global diaspora.
Beyond recognition, the event is expected to provide opportunities for networking, collaboration and the exchange of ideas aimed at translating partnerships into tangible development across the region.
The organisers described the summit as more than an awards ceremony, saying it was designed to create a platform where “leadership meets investment, ideas meet opportunities, and partnerships are built for sustainable development.”
They said the expected participation of government officials, business leaders, traditional rulers and investors underscores the growing importance of the South West as a strategic hub for economic development and investment.
Participants are expected from government, the private sector, financial institutions, real estate, technology, manufacturing, media, agriculture, youth organisations, civil society and the creative economy.
With a line-up of distinguished guests, speakers and award recipients, the 6th South West Investment Summit and Advancement Awards 2026 is expected to be one of the major leadership and investment gatherings in Lagos.
The event is scheduled for 12 noon on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with ASo Multimedia as the organiser.
The organisers invited stakeholders, investors, entrepreneurs, members of the media and members of the public to participate in the gathering as the South West seeks to advance investment, innovation, prosperity and sustainable development.
