There could be lying Artificial Intelligence, be warned – Musk

Founder of X, Elon Musk, has warned against developing artificial intelligence (AI) systems trained to lie.

Musk in a video shared on his X account, said lying AI could pose threat to humanity.

The tech mogul said AI must be developed with a strong emphasis on truthfulness to prevent global risks.

He said, “We are creating an intelligence that ultimately will be far more intelligent than any human and ultimately more intelligent than the sum of all humans.”

“In creating AI, we need to be very careful… it’s like having a sort of genius child. You want to have that child grow up with good values.”

He lamented that many AI systems are being trained to lie and that this could lead to serious negative consequences.

“The most important thing in training AI is that it is rigorously truthful. This is very, very important, essential,” Musk said.

He expressed concern that AI systems trained with falsehoods could lead to disastrous consequences.
