Pastor David Abioye has started a new church after his retirement from Bishop David Oyedepo’s Living Faith Church, known as Winners Chapel

Pastor David Abioye has started a new church after his retirement from Bishop David Oyedepo’s Living Faith Church, known as Winners Chapel.

Abioye used to be the vice-president of Winners Chapel but he was retired alongside Thomas Aremu in October 2024.

He was retired following a review of the Winners Chapel’s administrative policy which set the mandatory retirement age for leaders at 55. At the time, Aremu was 67 while Abioye was 63.

Abioye on Monday evening took to his official X account to announce that he will commence Sunday morning services on May 4, 2025.

“Exciting news! By the grace of God, starting next Sunday, our service is moving to the morning — 8:00AM

It’s a new day for you — come ready to be blessed mightily in Jesus’ name,” he wrote on X.

“Mark your calendars, set your alarms — we can’t wait to see you there! Tag someone you’re inviting!.”

Abioye who upon his retirement at Winners Chapel had commenced a non-denominational ministry which held every Sunday evening also on April 27 disclosed that his ministry will now hold services on Sunday mornings, specifically from 8am.

“Very important information. From next Sunday by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah. And the time is 8am. God bless you mightily in Jesus’ name,” he said.
