Al-Hilal: Our failure to secure top deals with players like Osimhen, Hernandez

Al-Hilal president Fahad Bin Nafal has opened up on the club’s failure to sign top players like Victor Osimhen, Theo Hernandez, and Bruno Fernandes to “illogical” counter offers and player fatigue.

In spite of offering high financial packages, Al-Hilal was unable to win these players to the Saudi Pro League side. Bin Nafal also revealed that the club’s attempts to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from rivals Al-Nassr were unsuccessful.

“We’ve spoken with many players, but they want to go on vacation after a long season,” Bin Nafal said. “We tried to sign several players before the World Cup, but were unsuccessful due to lack of time and faced illogical offers.”

Al-Hilal has recently appointed Simone Inzaghi as their new manager, but the club’s transfer struggles continue to be a challenge.
