Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, have arrived in Ikenne as they step up preparations for their 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Guinea.

The team, coached by Akeem Busari, had been in camp in Abuja since last month, where they played five friendly matches, recording four wins and one draw. During that period, they scored 28 goals and conceded just three.

Nigeria will face Guinea in the first leg in Conakry on Sunday, 24 May, before hosting the return leg at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday, 30 May.

The 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is scheduled to take place in Morocco from 17 October to 7 November
