United Nigeria Airlines Passengers Dissatisfied With Delays At Abuja Airport

… experiencing complete breakdown in communication and welfare.
Passengers aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Abuja to Lagos were left stranded at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Sunday after a series of delays extended well past midnight, with no clear communication from airline staff.
The flight, originally scheduled to depart at approximately 1:00 p.m., was first rescheduled to 7:45 p.m., then pushed back again to 9:00 p.m. As of the time of reporting, passengers remained waiting at the airport with no departure in sight and minimal explanation from airline officials.
They reported a complete breakdown in communication and passenger care throughout the ordeal. One affected passenger speaking to Apples Bite Magazine described the experience as causing serious inconvenience, particularly for those with urgent commitments.
“There is no accommodation provided. We are still at the airport in Abuja, and airline officials are nowhere to be found,” the passenger stated.
The traveller explained that passengers spent hours at the terminal without updates or assistance from airline representatives, leaving them uncertain about when—or if – the flight would eventually depart.
The passenger called on United Nigeria Airlines to improve its management of flight disruptions, emphasizing the importance of timely communication and adequate passenger support during extended delays.
As of press time, United Nigeria Airlines had not released an official statement regarding the delay, while stranded passengers continued waiting at the airport for further instructions.
