Omobolanle Olatise’s meteoric rise
If success, hard work, dedication and selflessness need an apt definition, Omobolanle Olatise, the United Kingdom-based businesswoman better known by the sobriquet ‘Alexes’ fits into such description. All her life, she attained greatness not by fluke but with a sheer dint of hard work backed with grace from her creator.
Rather than allow the frivolous things of life to get into her head, the University of Lagos Estate Management graduate has remained calm, shrewd and a humble personified individual.
Since she relocated to the United Kingdom some years ago, Olatise has dedicated her life to being a good ambassador of Nigeria by hoisting the Nigerian flag with pride on her shoulders.
The dynamic entrepreneur is one woman who has a few circle of friends yet well-known for her hospitable and welcoming nature mostly among Nigerians who find themselves in the UK. She has not stopped creating value and wealth for humanity with various thriving businesses in the United Kingdom, including educational institutions, care homes, real estate firms and entertainment promotion employing thousands of staff including foreigners and Nigerians.
Given her love for entertainment, Olatise —who is the Iyalaje of Aramoko Ekiti— has held the UK entertainment scene down for years with her Alexes Promotions brand.
The company has hosted and promoted many Nigerian artists in the UK. Recently, Olatise made history as the first promoter to bring Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall to perform at the iconic 20,000-seater 02 Arena in London.
While still basking in the euphoria of that successful concert, Olatise has also concluded preparations to further globalize the Fuji brand with another gig to celebrate Nigeria’s independence anniversary on October 1.
Spotlight learnt Olatise’s Alexis Promotions would be shutting down the City Pavilion Millennium Suite in London with King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall headlining the concert with a host of other top artistes.
