Nigerian who dumped N64K job becomes millionaire in 3 months working in own firm

A Nigerian lawyer and facility manager Ayoola Balogun who dumped a N64,000 a month job has shared an inspiring story about how he braved the odds, to become a millionaire, in three months working in his own company.

He called the company Beckley Property Administrators.

Balogun @TheML007 shared the post on X formerly known as Twitter on Saturday. His story gained traction like wildfire, earning over 1000 retweets and close to half a million views.

    Read his story:

One day I sat down in my office earning 64k as salary..life was hard and Eaman was low.. that day I registered a company named Beckley Properties Administrator without even knowing what to do with it I borrowed 150k to share office at Kudirat Abiola way Ikeja and that week the journey began.

First two months I did not make a penny.. Some days I cried just feeling Pity for myself..My dad needed me, he has suffered to see me through Uni and I wanted to make him enjoy life at his old age.

Other days, I wanted to quit and return to salary life..at all at all na him bad.. but i remained resolute and determine to succeed, this company is my baby and I am not going to give up.. I would go to office just to walk round ikeja marketing my firm to people that don’t even own a shop not to talk of a building .

Third month.. The breakthrough came in plenty millions, I employed staffs, got electronics and Alhamdulilah I never look back.

This is for you out there reading this..don’t give up on your dreams no matter how hard the beginning might be, always know that their is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Not trying at all is the real failure.

Trust in Allah to see you through.

In a follow up post on Sunday 3 September, Balogun acknowledged the reactions and inspiration that his story has triggered.

He enjoined Nigerians never to give up on their dreams.

What I will say is this.. If you put the same energy, dedication and seriousness that you put in that salary work into your own business..you will be fine within a short space of time.

See your business as a salary business, set yourself a salary and ensure that you don’t get fired by your own company.. then I tell you this, YOU WILL BE FINE.

Lastly..NEVER FEAR FAILURE..The fear of failing made you settle for less.

What pushed me in life was the fact that I believed in myself, I hate to say YES SIR to a boss..I LOVE TO CONTROL MY TIME.. This is my life, why should I live it to please anyone , I want to be able to pray my salat at the right time not to pack them together at night when am exhausted already

I said to myself in those dark moments..Nigeria is over 300 Million people, Lagos is over 30M Population, if I work hard , my clients are waiting for me out there.

Someone said ” How can you get success story within 3 months” I say to you, your success story is not fixed, when your determination meets God’s favour..that day, you are set.
