Queen Blessing Foundation (QBF) To Feed And Clothe Afemai Widows And Aged Women In Edo State

Nollywood actress and producer, Amb. Dr Queen Blessing Ebigieson is set to host about a thousand widows and aged women under the auspices of her Non-Governmental Organization, Queen Blessing Foundation (QBF).

The convener, who is the current National President of Association of Movie Producers (AMP) Nigeria hosts this event every 14th February which is celebrated annually as Valentine’s Special. This year’s celebration will hold at her country home, Okpella, Afemai land in Edo State. 

The Foundation, in its 16th year aims to provide succour to widows, provide them a shoulder to cry on and give hope for a better and brighter tomorrow. It is also used as a platform to educate our girls on how to stand on their own rather than be totally dependent on men folk.

Speaking on this year’s edition, the Black Queen as she is popularly called by fans affirms that ” the Queen Blessing Foundation is here to stay and will continue to show affection and genuine love to the vulnerable widows and aged women across the country yearly. This is despite the challenges of running such initiative annually.

The Foundation programs have more or less been solely funded by the convener until recently when some support has been received from patrons, friends and well-wishers. The Foundation continues to look forward to expanding our list of donors referred to as QBF partners. We seek for sponsorship and support from well meaning individuals and corporate bodies ” as we need over N10,000,000 (ten million Naira only) to host this year’s program.
